- Work weekdays with an occasional weekend in the operating room environment. Responsible to stock anesthesia supplies and clean equipment.

Job Description
- Provides a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient.
- Demonstrates accordance with ethical and legal responsibilities.
- Available to respond in an emergency and within their scope, with careful and thoughtful responses to a wide variety of requests in a stressed and rushed situation by providing anesthesia supplies and equipment as needed.
- Assists in the preparation of equipment as well as may assist with medications when applicable.
- Assists with orders, stocking inventory, tests and maintaining anesthesia equipment.
- Will be responsible to clean and disinfect reusable equipment as well as be expected to report malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.
- May also be delegated to remove all special and reusable material after cases and responsible for the turnaround of the room in accordance with infection control policies and procedures.
- Maintain clean working environment, surgical rooms, and assist in clerical duties as needed within the unit, including incoming phone calls.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year experience in a health care environment preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and strong computer skills helpful.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 60 days of employment.
