About this role
Job Description
- Manage the clients EPC contractor interface: establish responsibilities, deliverables, meeting cadence, action owners and closure dates; drive resolution within delegated authority and escalate unresolved issues
- Prepare EPC installation schedules with resources, materials, equipment, dependencies and critical path, and drive recovery plans for delays
- Prepare progress reports and maintain a site installation log. You will also track progress against baseline (build project S-Curve)
- Plan and manage Ohmium’s installation supervisors and technicians, including deployment, daily priorities, work allocation, and performance. Coordinate EPC crews through the contractor’s site management
- Verify site readiness and installation compliance with approved drawings, OEM instructions, inspection and test plans, and applicable HSE requirements. Intervene on unsafe work and coordinate corrective action with the responsible site authority.
- Resolve multidisciplinary installation interfaces with Engineering, Quality, and Field Services.
- Review constructability, method statements, technical queries, and design changes
- Train EPC teams on Ohmium installation requirements and acceptance criteria. Track scope boundaries, deviations, and potential variations; document impacts and support the Project Manager’s change control without making unauthorized commitments.
- Drive inspections, nonconformance resolution, punch-list closure, mechanical completion records, and handover documentation. Verify readiness with Field Services before commissioning starts; support commissioning and subsequent installation-related defect closure.
- Issue accurate weekly progress and resource reports, look-ahead plans, risk and interface registers, and decision requests. Maintain a central record of instructions, delays, inspections, and correspondence; support the Project Manager with factual records for contractual matters.
- Drive installation lessons learned across projects and translate site feedback into actionable improvements with Engineering, Product, and Field Services to simplify installation methods, shorten installation timelines, and reduce the duration and level of Ohmium’s on-site support without compromising safety or quality.
- Set and enforce the safety standards for every site you lead, and make sure every person on site knows how to stop work when something is wrong.
- Work with Engineering and Product to turn designs into buildable plans
- Develop and maintain EPC requirements and Installation Project Plans (IPPs), and review and improve EPC and installation documentation to ensure clear responsibilities, practical execution guidance, consistent quality standards, and efficient site delivery.
- Give leadership a clear, honest view of project status, risk, and cost, and recommend the decisions that need to be made.
