We are looking for a compassionate, caring and motivated individual to join our team at the Acute Medical Unit at Royal Preston Hospital.
AMU is a busy, fast paced department, with high patient turnover and where every day is different. This post is to cover a Monday - Friday day time position.

Main duties of the job
Responding to external and internal telephone queries from staff, patients and others and referring to appropriate person.
Organising incoming and outgoing post, referring enquires to appropriate person if necessary.
Booking patient transport
You will take the lead in ordering any items for the department, maintaining stock
Management of results and information flow.
booking in patients and discharging timely and efficiently

Qualifications & Education Essential
Educated to GCSE level Computer literate
Knowledge & Experience Essential
Efficient in the use of Microsoft Word for Windows Significant previous admin experience Experience of Excel, power Point, email and internet
Desirable
Experience of staff supervision Previous NHS experience
