IT Data Warehouse Business Analyst Business Analyst Job
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder workshops and discussions.
- Create BRDs, functional specifications, and data mapping documents.
- Analyze source systems, data flows, and define transformation rules.
- Collaborate with Data Architects and Engineers on data models, ETL requirements, and data quality.
- Create and maintain Data Mapping Specifications (DMS/LMS). Identify data transformation and business rules.
- Manage requirement changes, scope, and stakeholder priorities.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for development teams.
- Create process models and support requirement reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Communicate requirement updates and solutions to project teams and stakeholders.
- Technical background with hands-on experience on Excel, SQL, Databricks SQL, and technical business analytics
- Technical background with hands-on experience on ETL/ELT Concepts, Data Modelling, Star Schema, Data Marts and Data Lakehouse Concepts Business Analyst
Qualifications / Skills
- 10+ years working experience as IT Data Warehouse Business Analyst
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
- Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
