About this role
This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Grace Hopper - Technical.
Qualifications
- Must have or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with endorsements in Physics and Chemistry.
- Must meet the qualifications requirements to teach Dual Enrollment Physics (Candidate generally must have a master's degree or higher in Physics, or a master's degree in another field with at least 18 graduate credits in Physics).
Experience
- Experience teaching high school students.
- Successful teaching experience and curricular knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Flexible, dependable and highly organized.
- Understanding of the middle school child.
- Must be team oriented and able to work cohesively with others.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management skills.
Salary
- Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule: $64,637 - $144,723
