Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Under the direction of the Manager, Nutrition, supervises the day-to-day operations with approximately half of the work time spent on the physical running of the Nutrition Services Department. Job duties include, but not limited to: implement policies, procedures and work standards; monitors quality management indicators; supervises production & service staff; ensures departmental staffing, cleanliness, sanitation, tidiness & safety. Assists registered dietitians in supporting the needs of diet office staff. Able to cover production and diet aide shifts, if necessary.

Required Qualifications
- Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National ServSafe Manager Certification - National Restaurant Association.
- 3 years of experience with therapeutic diets, including menu processing and interaction with patients, family members, and nursing staff.
- Computer experience using word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Upon hire: Certified Dietary Manager credential or Dietary Services Supervisor certificate.
- 3 years of food service management or supervisory experience, including quantity food preparation and customer service in an acute care setting.
