Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Gynaecology Service within the Women & Children's Division as a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist - Hysteroscopist.
We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated, and compassionate clinician to deliver high-quality outpatient hysteroscopy services across our MSE hospital sites. You will take responsibility for your own patient caseload and play a crucial role in ensuring timely, safe, and effective diagnostic pathways for women.
Main duties of the job
Perform independent outpatient hysteroscopy procedures, including diagnostic examinations and minor therapeutic interventions, in line with national BSGE-recognised standards. Assess, triage, and prioritise referrals to appropriate clinics or clinicians. Manage own caseload, including diagnosing, acting on results, initiating treatment per local/national guidelines, and arranging follow-up. Provide specialist clinical advice and patient support, ensuring evidence-based, compassionate, high-quality care. Discharge patients appropriately back to primary care with complete documentation.

Support the development, review, and implementation of clinical guidelines and care pathways for the hysteroscopy service. Demonstrable autonomous experience working as a nurse hysteroscopist

Other Essential
Provide support to the Clinic Manager and Deputy with the day to day operations of the clinic, and assume responsibility for cover in their absence when required Act as a role model to junior staff leading by example at all times
