Main duties of the job

Role Principles:

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient facing role to clinically assess, diagnose and treat patients using expert knowledge To work efficiently and calmly under pressure to ensure the patient receives the care they need. Provide clinics working F2F and via Telephone and be part on the oncall team on agreed sessions. Work efficiently to process doctors admin workload such as tasks, letters, pathology results, etc. Work with wider colleague across the practice and provide them with expert guidance where required Undertake professional duties in line with the GP role.

The practice also hold clinics for Community/PCN roles including Midwives, First Contact Physiotherapist, Mental Health Practitioner and Social Prescribers. It also has close links to the local community and Voluntary Sector Organisations offering mental health and services to support wider social needs of our patients.

Essential:

Qualified GP with full registration Currently on performers list Never been removed from a performers list Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills Is driven, hardworking and can work under pressure Understanding of clinical governance and quality issues as well as health and social policy Competent user of GP Clinical Systems (Ideally S1) Able to work as part of a team and under own initiative Able to work across both sites and perform home visits

4 to 6 sessions, days to be agreed with successful candidate

Contract

fixed term post with potential of extension at the end dependant on recurrent funding through retired CAIP scheme
