Mid Hampshire Healthcare (MHH) is looking for a caring, motivated, and adaptable Multi-Service Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly and expanding clinical team.

This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the delivery of community healthcare services across Hampshire. Youll work alongside clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care across a range of services, supporting both clinic-based and community-based care delivery.

Main duties of the job

What Youll Be Doing

Youll support the day-to-day delivery of clinical services by: -

Supporting clinicians with the delivery of patient care across multiple services. Undertaking clinical observations and delegated clinical tasks within your competencies. Assisting with health screening and patient monitoring activities. Supporting clinic procedures and patient consultations. Conducting community and home visits where required. Recording accurate clinical information using EMIS and other digital systems. Supporting patients with advice, signposting, and access to appropriate services. Preparing and maintaining clinical environments, equipment, and stock supplies. Working collaboratively with clinicians, operational teams, GP practices, and partner organisations. Helping to ensure patients receive a professional, safe, and positive healthcare experience.What Were Looking For

Job description Job responsibilities

The Multi Service Healthcare Assistant (HCA) will support the delivery of high-quality patient care across Mid Hampshire Healthcare services, working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care.

The postholder will act as a professional and welcoming point of contact for patients, carers, healthcare professionals, and partner organisations, promoting a positive patient experience and maintaining effective communication between clinical and administrative teams.

The HCA will provide clinical and non-clinical support across a range of community-based healthcare services in line with organisational priorities and service requirements. Duties may include undertaking health assessments and screening activities, supporting clinicians during procedures, carrying out delegated clinical tasks, assisting with patient monitoring and follow-up, and contributing to the coordination and continuity of patient care.

The role will involve working across multiple services and locations operated by Mid Hampshire Healthcare as required, supporting both clinic-based and community-based care delivery. Clinical responsibilities will always be undertaken in accordance with the postholders competencies, training, and organisational policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a caring and professional approach, strong organisational abilities, and the flexibility to adapt to changing service needs within a dynamic healthcare environment as well as being NVQ Level 3 qualified.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Good level of computer literacy. Minimum 2 years experience in an HCA capacity.

Desirable

Experience in a healthcare setting. Use of EMIS.
