This is an exciting time to join Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK. We deliver care to more than 1.6 million people each year across our three main hospital sites: Barnet, Chase Farm, and the Royal Free Hospital.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Wound care Podiatrist to lead our podiatry department at our Hampstead site. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of podiatrists, ensuring high standards of clinical care and service delivery.
You will also work closely with multidisciplinary teams, providing specialist support to vascular, diabetes, and infectious diseases services.
The successful candidate will demonstrate our Trust values and meet the responsibilities outlined in the job description and person specification. You should have proven experience in team leadership and a willingness to embrace innovative approaches to service development and patient care. An Independent prescribing qualification would be advantageous in this role.

Degree / Diploma in Podiatric medicine HPCP registration Extensive post graduate experience in the field of Wound care Podiatry with evidence of development in clinical skills of Podiatric assessment, Certificate in local anaesthesia, Use of diagnostic tools and a range of surgical instruments i.e in the management of and debridement of poor tissue viability wounds and nail surgery Postgraduate Leadership or Management training

Substantial post registration experience of working as a Wound care podiatrist with patients with conditions such as Diabetes, Chronic Neuropathy, Chronic Disease ie Rheumatoid arthritis, Wound / tissue viability problems, Terminally ill patients, HIV Significant experience of working in the acute setting managing Diabetic, Vascular and other foot wounds Significant experience of working in the acute setting managing Diabetic, Vascular and other foot wounds Experience of successful multi-disciplinary team working Experience of leading service development and delivery Experience of student supervision and clinical education Post graduate experience of audit, research, QI and evidence-based practice.
