About this role
We are seeking an experienced Architect with a strong background in data center design and test fit development to support hyperscale and mission-critical projects across the Middle East. The role focuses on delivering rapid test fits, feasibility studies, and concept designs to enable strategic site selection and client decision-makingData Center & Technical Expertise
Develop efficient test fits for data centers including data halls, MEP zones, and support areas
Optimize layouts based on rack density, MW capacity, scalability, and phasing strategies
Integrate redundancy principles (Tier III / IV) into architectural solutions ⢠Coordinate closely with MEP, structural, and ICT teams
Test Fit & Concept Design
Deliver high-quality, rapid test fits for site selection and feasibility
Evaluate multiple design scenarios considering constraints, capacity, and performance
Translate technical requirements into clear spatial layouts and diagrams
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead client discussions, workshops, and presentations
Communicate complex technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones
Project Delivery
Manage multiple parallel test fit packages under tight deadlines
Ensure accuracy, coordination, and high-quality outputs
Support design progression from concept to schematic stages
Leadership & Attributes
Strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving mindset
Ability to lead small teams and mentor junior staff
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
Qualifications
Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Architecture
8 to 10 years of experience in architectural design within international consultancy environments
Proven experience in data center projects (hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise)
Strong track record in test fits, feasibility studies, and concept design delivery
Experience working with hyperscaler clients (Microsoft, AWS, Google preferred)
Sound knowledge of UAE/GCC authority requirements and permitting processes
Proficiency in Revit (BIM), AutoCAD, and coordination tools (Navisworks preferred)
Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier standards, TIA-942, and industry best practices
Professional registration (RIBA, AIA, ARB, or equivalent) preferred
