The following wards has vacancy for clinical charge nurses:
Eden Ward (PICU) is a 10 male bedded Pychiatric Intensive Care Unit
Nelson Ward is an 18 female bedded ward
We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic candidates, with a commitment to delivering high standardsofcare.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Charge Nurse you will promote and develop clinical leadership and clinical practice and be a positive role model to junior members of the team through the practice of evidence-based care.
You will be expected to support professional development through clinicalappraisal and supervision and contribute to the ongoing educationalProgramme for staff, fostering a positive learning environment. Yourprofessional and personal development will include further study, and you will be encouraged and supported by your line manager to undertakethese further development.
As a senior nurse working within the South London and the Maudsley's NHS Foundation Trust you are required to encourage and foster collaborative and organisational working.

Registered Nurse (Mental Health/Learning Disability). Evidence of continuing professional development Degree or equivalent experience 2 years working as RMN/RMLD SLTP training

Experience of managing clinical practice at Band 5 Experience of implementing and monitoring standards of care Experience of providing clinical and managerial supervision Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and knowledge of methods to develop culturally sensitive practice Experience of recruitment and selection of staff

Knowledge Essential
Specialist clinical knowledge relevant to the service, including evidence-based practice Knowledge of Managing patient flow and leading on patient flow initiatives Working knowledge of all relevant legislation associated with acute mental health care, including MHA, CPA procedures, Human Rights Act, NSF, Child Protection and NHS Plan Understanding of the role and function of other organisations providing services to people with mental ill-health
