Job summary
Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated nurse who is keen to be part of the critical care team and develop their knowledge and skills. Our CQC rated outstanding critical care unit encompasses 10 funded beds (mix of HDU and ITU levels of care). We are a friendly team and offer a working environment where personal and professional development is actively supported.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for patient assessment, planning of care, giving and supervising safe and compassionate care, and evaluating the effectiveness of care for level 2 and 3 patients. Being a role model to junior members of the team and teaching students. Supporting your senior colleagues to achieve the Radnor Critical Care strategy and vision.

Education, Qualifications and Training Essential
First level registered nurse with a Diploma Advanced Diploma or Degree in Nursing or equivalent level of knowledge Adult Critical Care Course minimum 18 months ICU experience band 5
Desirable
QCF Assessor Award or NMC approved mentorship qualification
Experience Essential
Evidence of being caring and compassionate with a good understanding of managing patients with complex needs Evidence of 18 months minimum, caring for patients in an ICU/HDU environment

Knowledge and Skills Essential
Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development Ability to assess patients, plan care for a group of patients, deliver care and evaluate the effectiveness of care given. Good analytical skills and ability to recognise deterioration, ability to make judgements on problems requiring investigation and analysis, e.g. assessment of patient condition. Ability to organise own workload whilst supervising others.
