gtd healthcare is one of the largest NHS commissioned Primary and Urgent care providers in North West England. Based in Denton, Manchester, we have a an excellent opportunity for a Workforce Scheduling Planner to join our Workforce Planning Team.
We are recruiting one Full Time 37.5 hours role
The Workforce Scheduling Planner will take ownership for the overall planning, administration, co-ordination, and resourcing of the staff portfolio to meet the needs of the service, including working closely with Operational, Clinical and Medical Team members across the organisation to ensure that services are fully resourced and run smoothly.
The successful candidate will be working with multi-disciplinary teams across gtd healthcare to ensure the effective planning and scheduling of staff meets the operational requirements.

Main duties of the job
Take ownership for the overall planning, administration, co-ordination, and resourcing of the staff portfolio to meet the needs of the service, including working closely with team members to ensure that services are fully resourced.Undertake role duties in accordance with the agreed SLA and KPIs for the Workforce scheduling and planning team and organisational Core Principles.Arrange shift cover for own portfolio, allocating staff annual leave according to policy and agreed parameters.Alter and update Rotamaster to provide the best cover according to the needs of the service and to attain the optimum use of the resources available.Work with team members to ensure a rolling 3-month view of quotas are published on Rotamaster, contracted tasks are assigned, and other resource planning activities are carried out in accordance with gtds planning calendar.Use information provided by the Workforce/BI Team to conduct informed assessments of predicted staffing levels, ensuring that bank shifts are advertised accurately.Work in partnership with the Workforce and wider People Services Team to understand new service requirements and ensure these are captured within the system.Work in partnership with GMUPCA to collect weekly rotas for the GM CAS service, GM Urgent Dental Assessment Service and other alliance services and provide overall resource view and make recommendations for service delivery.For further details, please refer to the job description attached.

Key duties and responsibilities include:
Take ownership for the overall planning, administration, co-ordination, and resourcing of the staff portfolio to meet the needs of the service, including working closely with team members to ensure that services are fully resourced and run smoothly.Undertake role duties in accordance with the agreed SLA and KPIs for the Workforce scheduling and planning team and organisational Core Principles, liaising other departmental functions as appropriate.Ensure all resourcing data is up to date, accurate, and relevant to the agreed operational plan.Arrange shift cover for own portfolio, allocating staff annual leave according to policy and agreed parameters.Record all staff sickness/absence data appropriately.Alter and update Rotamaster to provide the best cover according to the needs of the service and to attain the optimum use of the resources available.Identify known Rota gaps and ensure that appropriate cover arrangements are in progress.Identify known Rota gaps and ensure that appropriate cover arrangements are in progress.Ensure locum/temporary staff are booked within agreed guidelines. Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Good standard of secondary education including English and Maths.
Experience Essential
Experience of office working. Experience of using word processing and Excel. Experience of computer/systems use. Previous experience of working with the public.
Desirable
Experience of a busy telephone environment. Experience of minute taking and dictation.
Skills and attributes Essential
Excellent organisational skills. Ability to communicate competently over the telephone and in person. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to work on own initiative.
