About this role

Job summary Under general supervision, with opportunity to make independent decisions, performs duties that will include receiving, sorting, inspecting, cleaning, disinfecting, assembling, preparing, sterilizing, storing and issuing reusable surgical instruments and equipment.

To assist the multi-disciplinary theatre team to provide exemplary care by ensuring theatre and endoscopy instrumentation and equipment are correct and ready for use.

Who we're looking for: Level I - GCSE or equivalent in English and MathsLevel II - Certificate in Decontamination or NVQ level 3 in DecontaminationOr TVQ level 1 & 2 in DecontaminationOr City and Guilds Certificates in Decontamination / EndoscopyExperience involving quality systemsExperience involving checking and monitoring.Literacy in the use of IT equipment and softwareBasic awareness of health, safety and hygieneEnglish language to IELTS 7.0Possess the mandatory training requirements for role including infection control and health and safety competencies.Possess Decontamination Equipment and Medical devices competencesKnowledge of medical terminologyTrained on MS Office and other relevant packagesAwareness of role of SSD

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Level I - GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths Level II - Certificate in Decontamination or NVQ level 3 in Decontamination Or TVQ level 1 & 2 in Decontamination

Experience Essential

Possess the mandatory training requirements for role including infection control and health and safety competencies. Possess Decontamination Equipment and Medical devices competences Knowledge of medical terminology Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages Awareness of role of SSD
