Are you an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive registered nurse wanting to join our healthcare team at Manchester Short Term Holding Facility and work Bank shifts.
In conjunction with the management team contribute to and deliver a comprehensive primary health care service.
This role involves undertaking health assessments, administering medication and treatments, performing diagnostic tests, as appropriate, and providing and evaluating a range of health interventions to meet prisoner health and social care needs.
The post holder will be required to work flexibly across the service to provide responsive, evidence-based interventions. They will demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding of health issues and treatment options and have a keen interest in developing knowledge and skills across the integrated services. Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a comprehensive primary care physical/mental health service as part of the Multidisciplinary Team. In conjunction and partnership with the management team and key stakeholders you will contribute to and deliver a comprehensive primary care health service.
As a registered clinician you will operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assisting and supporting others in undertaking physical and/or health assessments, providing a range of health treatments and interventions in order to meet healthcare needs and contribute to the wider continuous development of healthcare services. This will include being able to demonstrate a vast range of knowledge, skills and understanding of health issues and treatment options to provide clinical guidance and support to colleagues on matters relating to physical health and wellbeing.
The post holder will exercise good clinical knowledge, levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in clinical care demonstrated through the advanced competency framework. You will also support senior managers in ensuring a high level of performance within the team is maintained.
