About this role

Do you enjoy helping people grow and building strong partnerships across an organization? Do you want to shape how world-leading products go from development to production?

As our Director, Production Engineering and Technologies, Industrialization, you'll lead an organization of about 90 people. Together, you'll make sure every new Axis product can be built and tested with high quality. The role is based on-site at our headquarters in Lund, Sweden.

Your future team

You will lead six teams, each with their own manager, all working together in Lund. These teams own the production flow in Axis product development projects. They define, develop and implement the flow, from post-PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) to a fully assembled Axis product, at our EMS partners. This includes product-specific production equipment, as well as the test modules and common sequences used in each product's test process. Our work directly affects how well and how reliably our products reach customers around the world.

You will report to the Director of Global Industrialization and be a member of the Industrialization Management Team. The management team consists of Project Quality Managers, an Industrial Lead, Packaging & Product Data Group Managers, and an EMS NPI Lead, in addition to the managers in your organization.

Who are Global Industrialization?

Our mission is to take responsibility for the industrialization activities in product development projects, ensuring that new Axis products are introduced and produced efficiently, with the right quality and optimized production costs.

We also work closely with R&D on a long-term basis to define the production capabilities and equipment needed in the future, preparing for upcoming technologies and innovations.

What you'll do as Director, Production Engineering and Technologies, Industrialization

Lead the strategic work to create a stronger and clearer common voice and interface towards R&D and Manufacturing.

Build strong partnerships and collaboration at all levels with the Production System department, which develops Axis's complex production machines.

Lead, coach and support six managers and, through them, an organization of approximately 90 engineers.

Shape the direction and strategy of Global Industrialization by taking an active role in the department's management team.

Attract, retain and develop talent, ensuring the organization has the capabilities needed to meet both current and future business needs.

Who are you?

You are passionate about developing leaders and enabling their teams to succeed. As a leader, you combine a strategic perspective with a genuine interest in people, creating an environment where managers and teams can perform, develop and deliver at their best.

You build strong relationships and earn the trust, support and commitment of stakeholders at all levels, both within your own organization and across neighbouring functions and departments.

To succeed in this role, you have:

A technical university degree in electronics, computer science, mechanical engineering or a related field.

At least seven years of leadership experience.

Experience leading technical product development or industrialization activities.
