About this role
We are searching for a short-term (6 months) Chief Engineer Contractor to join our Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT) - Special Projects team, working across design, development, performance, and operations to enable the delivery of the team's programmes. AMPT Special Projects is an advanced engineering group focused on applying our F1-derived high-performance engineering, innovation, technical expertise and breakthrough technologies, to deliver high-performance engineering projects o utside of Formula One™ . This is an exciting opportunity for a Chief Engineer Contractor to get involved involved with physical system design and performance optimisation, integrating inputs from multiple engineering disciplines.
In this position, you will use state-of-the-art resources and relevant methodologies to design, evaluate, and optimise new concepts, maximising performance within the constraints of each Programme and streamlining the ways of working. You will be expected to understand and implement the programme development and delivery strategy in alignment to schedule and budget, providing key updates on potential barriers, limitations, threats, opportunities or weaknesses that might impact the overall delivery, ensuring a "best-in-class" approach is adopted throughout.
