About this role
A bit about us GEEIQ helps brands and agencies understand, plan and measure their activity across gaming and virtual worlds. We combine platform data with specialist expertise to help marketing teams make informed decisions about where to invest and how to measure success. In 2027 we launch a new product for brand and agency media teams. Events and campaigns are how we bring it to market.
The role We are looking for an Events and Campaigns Manager to own the delivery of GEEIQ's events and marketing campaigns. Events come first. You will plan and run our own buyer events, manage our presence at industry events, and build the campaigns that surround them: the invitation programme with Sales, the build-up, the event itself and the follow-up. Alongside this, you will deliver ongoing campaigns promoting GEEIQ's content, expertise and services. Your immediate priority will be the launch of a new GEEIQ product in spring 2027.
This includes the pre-launch programme, buyer events in London and Los Angeles, and our presence at SXSW in March and MadFest in July. Marketing at GEEIQ is a small team. You will work directly with our marketing lead, who owns strategy, positioning and content, with support on audience lists, campaign operations and reporting. Your job is to turn those inputs into events and campaigns that run well, making the day-to-day delivery decisions yourself. What success looks like Events and campaigns are delivered to agreed timelines and budgets.
Guests are invited, tracked and followed up. Colleagues and suppliers understand their responsibilities, materials are ready when needed, and problems are raised early enough to resolve. Sales receives timely, useful follow-up information. Reporting informs the next round of activity. Clear ownership and dependable execution give the rest of the team more time for strategy, content and customer conversations.
- Plan and deliver events Own event planning and logistics from the initial brief through to event-day delivery and post-event follow-up: venues, quotes, bookings, registration, guest communications, materials and running orders.
- Run the invitation programme for each event with Sales: agree invite targets per person, track invitations through to registration and attendance, and report progress weekly.
- Deliver our own buyer events in London and Los Angeles, and organise GEEIQ's participation in agreed industry events, including preparation, meeting coordination and supporting communications.
- Find and secure speaking opportunities for our founders at events where media buyers gather, and prepare the briefing and follow-up around them.
- Coordinate speakers, suppliers and internal contributors so that everyone understands their responsibilities.
- Own campaign delivery Turn approved briefs into delivery plans with clear milestones, responsibilities, budgets and measures of success, and maintain the campaign calendar.
- Coordinate email, social, website and other agreed activity, working with marketing operations and specialist suppliers where needed.
- Write event invitations, reminders, promotional emails, short social posts and follow-up communications using approved messaging, and adapt reports, articles and case studies into campaign materials suited to each audience and channel.
- Manage asset requirements, production schedules and approval deadlines, checking that materials are accurate, on brand and ready to use.
- Identify competing deadlines and capacity constraints early, and recommend practical changes to keep priority activity on track.
- Manage suppliers and budgets Brief suppliers clearly, assess work against agreed requirements and manage deadlines.
- Track committed costs and actual spend, keeping an accurate view of each campaign or event budget.
- Make routine delivery decisions within agreed limits, seek approval for material changes to scope, cost or messaging, and build reusable briefs, schedules and checklists that make future delivery more efficient.
- Connect activity with follow-up and results Agree follow-up responsibilities and timing with Sales before events and campaigns go live, and provide clear handovers with the relevant audience, engagement and event context.
- Bring together reporting on response, registrations, attendance, follow-up and spend, supported by marketing operations.
- Review results, gather feedback and recommend improvements to future delivery.
