Hours Per Week: Full time 37.5
Contract Type: 12 month Fixed term contract
Our innovative and skilled Gynaecology Department consists of a large, friendly group of dedicated multidisciplinary professionals, where clinicians, nurses, ACPs and admin staff 'work as one' for our patients. As part of this, we are in the process of expanding our Cancer Diagnostic capacity and we want to find a talented, committed and enthusiastic Nurse Hysteroscopist.
This is an exciting opportunity and you would play a leading role in the delivery and development of a modern hysteroscopy service, providing high-quality, compassionate care to women across the pathway while helping shape the future of the service. Whilst this job is fixed term for now, the establishment of a sustainable expanded service is our top priority.
Main duties of the job
As a Nurse Hysteroscopist, you will work autonomously to assess, diagnose and manage women referred to the hysteroscopy service. You will be responsible for delivering complete episodes of care, from initial assessment and investigation through to treatment, follow-up and discharge, ensuring patients receive safe, timely and personalised care.
Working within national guidelines and evidence-based practice, you will use your advanced clinical skills to undertake hysteroscopy procedures, make complex clinical decisions and provide expert advice and support to patients and colleagues.
Alongside your clinical practice, you will have a key role in service development, quality improvement, education and leadership, helping to ensure our hysteroscopy service remains at the forefront of women's healthcare.
Whilst this role is advertised as an 8a, we are open to applications from Band 7 hysteroscopy nurses who are looking for advancement as well.
