Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen to join this well established, friendly, hardworking team of over 60 Radiographers working within the Cross Sectional Imaging Department (CSI) at the Trust. Due to continued service expansion, we are seeking enthusiastic, talented radiographers with an interest in training and working in CT, MRI and Neuroangiography.

Job description Job responsibilities
The successful post holder will be a key member of the cross sectional imaging team, with a high level of competence in the specialist modalities of MRI, CT scanning and Neuro Interventional Angiography. We have a well-developed and supportive induction process. You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, professionalism and a flexible approach to working to support the MRI, CT and Neuroangiography Imaging Leads in delivering an efficient and effective service. As a major trauma centre, with a large inpatient population, we provide a 24/7 service and require flexibility to cover all shifts.
You will be working on the Southampton General Hospital site, Royal South Hants Community Diagnostic Hub and rotating off site in the Southampton City area providing a CT imaging service for targeted lung health check screening.

We are continually developing our specialist imaging services within our three modalities and post graduate training and skills development is actively encouraged.
This role is subject to a probation period (for staff new to UHS) and a competency-based sign off process covering CT, MR, and Neuro Angio. Staff will be supported to achieve competence in all three modalities during the first 6 - 7 months of starting in the role. It is a requirement of the role to demonstrate competence in all three areas.
