Job Summary
The College of Agriculture is seeking student employees to assist with Phase 2 of the Purdue Off-Campus Building Inventory Project. The project involves creating accurate digital floor plans for facilities occupied by the College of Agriculture and College of Veterinary Medicine throughout Indiana. Approximately 137 buildings currently have only hand-drawn, printed, or scanned floor plans with no existing electronic CAD files. Student drafters will review these plans and recreate them in AutoCAD following established drafting standards, layer structures, and naming conventions.
Students will also create room shape files for use in space inventory and facility management applications. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in AutoCAD drafting, facilities documentation, space management, and collaboration with architecture and facility professionals. Education Must be a current Purdue Student Experience Experience with AutoCAD or completion of coursework using AutoCAD.
