Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large, fast-paced, multidisciplinary design assignments for advanced manufacturing and technology facilities. This Boise-based role is accountable for integrated project delivery—from scope and execution planning through design release and construction support—within a dynamic program involving overlapping work packages, evolving priorities, and demanding schedule commitments. Success requires decisive leadership, transparent communication, and strong coordination across client, design, and construction interfaces.

Your Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery and Client Leadership

  • Serve as the accountable project leader and primary day-to-day client contact for assigned design projects and work packages.
  • Establish project execution plans, scope boundaries, deliverable milestones, decision logs, communication protocols, and escalation pathways.
  • Lead project teams to meet agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations; anticipate and resolve issues before they affect critical milestones.
  • Coordinate client decisions, consultant inputs, contractor interfaces, and jurisdictional reviews to maintain momentum.

Integrated Planning and Execution

  • Develop and maintain integrated design schedules tied to client milestones, procurement priorities, and construction sequencing.
  • Manage dependencies among architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, process-related interfaces, and specialty consultants.
  • Plan staffing and resource needs across concurrent assignments, coordinating with discipline leaders and distributed production teams.
  • Drive timely decisions on design changes, technical questions, and priorities while protecting design integrity and operational continuity.

Financial, Scope and Risk Accountability

  • Own project fee budgets, forecasts, progress reporting, resource projections, and timely escalation of financial variance.
  • Work with the commercial manager to identify scope growth, document changes, evaluate impacts, and secure approvals before proceeding when required.
  • Maintain active project risk, action, and issue registers, with owners and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Stantec and client project management, quality, safety, and document control procedures.

Quality, Construction Support and Team Leadership

  • Establish clear interdisciplinary review, checking, and approval expectations for each deliverable and release.
  • Coordinate responses to RFIs, submittals, field questions, and construction-phase changes with the design and construction teams.
  • Lead regular progress and coordination meetings, document decisions, and hold teams accountable for commitments.
  • Mentor project managers and emerging leaders and promote a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Proven leadership of complex multidisciplinary design projects, ideally semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical, or similarly integrated facilities.
  • Experience with fast-track delivery, phased design packages, construction interfaces, and multiple simultaneous priorities.
  • Strong command of project planning, schedule management, forecasting, fee control, change processes, and risk management.
  • Ability to lead across offices and disciplines without relying solely on direct reporting authority.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with clients, contractors, technical specialists, and executives.
  • Working familiarity with BIM-enabled design coordination, document management, and project reporting tools; PMP preferred.
  • Ability to travel for project meetings and site coordination as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 10+ years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Prefer relevant experience, including senior commercial responsibility on complex capital projects.
