About this role

Honeywell Technologies is a global, pure-play automation company with a legacy of innovating to help solve the world’s most mission-critical challenges, enhancing the quality of life for people and communities around the world. We serve the building, industrial and process sectors with a broad portfolio of services, solutions and products, underpinned by our Honeywell Technologies Accelerator operating system and Honeywell Technologies Forge intelligence layer. By combining the deep domain expertise of our more than 50,000 employees with decades of data from our global installed base, we are uniquely positioned to lead the industrial sector’s transition from automation to autonomy.

As an Electrical Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will support the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems. Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

  • As part of BA NPI Engineering Group, you will be one among the team designing & sustaining electronic fire panels.
  • Create and modify PCB layouts for analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic assemblies.
  • Develop and maintain multilayer PCB stackups based on electrical, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Place components and route PCB traces according to schematics, design rules, and layout guidelines.
  • Apply best practices for power distribution, grounding, return paths, controlled impedance, and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Support high-speed signal routing, differential pair routing, length matching, and impedance-controlled traces.
  • Implement appropriate clearance, creepage, thermal relief, via, copper pour, and plane design requirements.
  • Generate and maintain PCB design documentation, including fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, layer tables, and manufacturing notes.
  • Perform layout reviews using schematic cross-probing, design-rule checks, electrical-rule checks, and visual inspection.
  • Support schematic-to-layout synchronization and resolve layout-related issues identified during design reviews.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure that circuit requirements are correctly implemented in the PCB layout.
  • Work with mechanical engineers to verify board outline, mounting holes, component keepouts, enclosure interfaces, and mechanical constraints.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers to improve manufacturability, assembly quality, and production yield.
  • Support prototype builds, board bring-up, design validation, and troubleshooting of layout-related issues.
  • Assist with engineering change requests, revision control, and configuration management.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of PCB design processes and standards.

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field.
  • Understanding of basic analog and digital electronics.
  • Familiarity with PCB layout concepts and multilayer board construction.
  • Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB design workflows.
  • Basic understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Familiarity with design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly principles.
  • Ability to read schematics, datasheets, mechanical drawings, and PCB fabrication specifications.

WE VALUE

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented design standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
