About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Payment Specialist to join our finance team. This position plays a crucial role in managing our payment processes and ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments. Also, plays a crucial role in communicating through e-mail and phone to our vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure pay cycle approvals from AP management.
- Generate AP MERCH pay cycle for virtual card program.
- Campaign newly added AP MERCH vendors for the credit card payment program.
- Set up new vendors for credit card payment program.
- Assist provider with campaign of our vendors for the credit card payment program.
- Make necessary updates on vendor’s payments.
- Respond to vendor e-mails accurately and in a timely fashion.
- E-mail freight only invoices over to our buying offices for approval.
- Cancel and void payments in PeopleSoft as needed.
- Assist in testing of our systems.
- Assist with departmental reporting – 5 week rotation.
- Run Debit Aging Report and research items over 120 days – with buying office.
- Run quarterly report to make adjustments.
- Assist AP Analyst with Monthly Consignment vendors.
- Run weekly AP Aging Report.
- Assist management with Intransit.
Qualifications
- Experience with accounts payable processes and systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
