About the role:
Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to patients individual dietary needsCook and serve healthy meals for staff, patients families, and visitors in our on-site cafeEnsure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulationsOversee the safe use of kitchen equipment in line with hygiene standardsMaintain high levels of cleanliness and ensure proper waste disposalSupport our hospitality training programme by preparing food for coursesProvide guidance and support to catering assistants and volunteersManage stock levels and coordinate food orders with suppliersDeliver a professional, caring, and efficient service at all times
Person Specification
Key Attributes Essential
We are looking for someone who: Has a friendly, positive, and reliable approach Previous experience as a cook, ideally within a healthcare setting Is organised, self-motivated, and able to manage their time effectively Can work confidently within health and safety guidelines
Qualifications Essential
Holds a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification and Allergen training
Desirable
Is willing to learn, or already has knowledge of, IDDSI frameworks for dysphagia
