Job summary ABOUT THE ROLE As a Head of Maintenance at The Wheatlands care home, you'll make sure we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support. You can expect plenty of variety as a Head of Maintenance with us. Main duties of the job As the Head of Maintenance at The Wheatlands care home, your role involves maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for residents and staff, contributing to the delivery of first-class care and support. Your responsibilities will include a variety of maintenance tasks within the care home building and gardens, from fixing leaky taps to planting new bulbs. You should be comfortable working independently, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with budget planning. Liaising with contractors for jobs beyond your team's expertise is also required. Ensuring sensitivity to the residents' needs while performing maintenance tasks is crucial.

Qualifications Essential
Full UK driving licence, IT literacy, GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent), hands-on experience of property maintenance, at least one trade skill
