Job summary
As a Singe Point of Access GP within Worcestershires Integrated Urgent Care service, youll play a key role in ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time.
Youll work within Practice Plus Group one of Englands largest independent providers of NHSfunded health care, known for delivering highquality, patientcentred services across urgent care, primary care, elective surgery and diagnostics. In this role, youll combine expert remote assessment with senior oversight, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to maintain safe, effective patient flow and uphold the organisations values of care, compassion and continuous improvement.
We have a range of contract types available, please reach out to the recruiter to discuss the options for this position. Shifts would be 08001400 and 1400-2000 Monday to Sunday from our base in Kings Court at Worcester Royal Hospital.
Interviews will be from Friday 22nd May.
Main duties of the job
Deliver remote clinical assessments for referrals from 111, 999, primary care and community teams
Validate complex, highrisk or ambiguous presentations
Provide senior oversight for urgent but nonemergency cases
Support UCR and SPoA clinicians across urgent care pathways
Determine the most appropriate care setting through clinical triage
Escalate safeguarding concerns in line with policy
Contribute to audits, incident reviews and continuous quality improvement
About us
Fully qualified General Practitioner with GMC registration and relevant UK licence to practice.
Strong clinical reasoning and confident riskmanagement skills
Experience in primary care remote assessment (essential)
Urgent care experience (desirable)
Ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information
Clear, compassionate communication with patients and colleagues
Digital literacy with clinical triage and record systems
Calm, adaptable and collaborative approach under pressure
