Job summary
We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and proactive Activity Coordinator to join our dynamic inpatient therapy team. This role is central to enhancing the therapeutic environment on our acute mental health wards by delivering meaningful, recovery-focused activities that promote engagement, wellbeing, and connection.
You'll work closely with occupational therapists, Art therapists, health and fitness instructor, activity coordinators and technical instructors as well as the wider multidisciplinary team to co-create and facilitate group and individual sessions tailored to the needs of our service users. Activities may include art, music, movement, games, sensory sessions, life skills, and community-focused projects -- all grounded in trauma-informed and inclusive practice.

Main duties of the job
- To be part of the Inpatient Therapy Team who provide occupational therapy based on the Model of Human Occupation.
- To be an active member of the multi-disciplinary teams on the wards and, with supervision, contribute to assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care. The post will support the delivery of the OT provision to a designated caseload, focusing on recovery and developing skills for life.
- This will include facilitating a range of therapeutic groups and individual sessions, contributing to multidisciplinary team care planning, formulation and risk assessment.
- You will work closely with the MDT to provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention as part of the acute clinical pathway. The team includes: Occupational Therapists, Art Therapist, Health and Fitness Instructor, Activity Coordinators and Technical Instructor.
