Job summary
St Andrews House Medical Centre are looking for a GP to join us on a 4 sessions per week, 12 months fixed term contract.
The days of working would be Tuesday and Friday.
St Andrews House Medical Centre, Stalybridge (Tameside and Glossop ICB) is looking for a motivated GP who is enthusiastic, forward thinking, and adaptable to working within our well established, friendly, and innovative training practice.
We are seeking an individual who can provide 4 sessions per week of GP work, each session lasting for 4 hours and 10 minutes.
15 minute appointments/patient
Admin/Home visits/Oncall
Main duties of the job
Variety of duties including face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations and queries, consultations using video and photos. Home visits and nursing home rounds.
In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.
Providing counselling and health education as needed as part of the consultation
Referring and doing their own referrals to other care providers as appropriate
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Collecting data for audit purposes
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding paper and hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)
Reviewing, filing and acting on documents as stored in the Docman software.
Prescribing and referring in accordance with the Practice policy as determined GM authorities whenever this is clinically appropriate
In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
Provide advice to queries raised by Practice Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Health Care Assistant and GP Registrars, while doing a clinical session, if required.

Job Summary
The post-holder will manage a case load and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients.
Clinical Responsibilities
In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations and queries, consultations using video and photos.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, clinical examination and investigation results
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.

Qualifications Essential
Fully qualified GP with GMC registration Inclusion on the NHS England performers list. Vocational training certificate or equivalent. Full membership of a medical defence union. Annual appraisal and revalidation, and maintain. Current Hepatitis B immunity. Basic life support. UK work permit, if required. DBS.
