What You'll Do
- Perform structural welding using Flux Core (FCAW) and Pulse MIG processes.
- Weld, fabricate, and repair large structural steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Fit and align steel components prior to welding.
- Perform quality inspections on completed welds.
- Work with carbon steel and stainless steel materials.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools.
- Follow all safety standards and shop procedures.
- Collaborate with fitters, welders, and supervisors to keep projects on schedule.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of structural welding experience Experience with Flux Core (FCAW) welding Experience with Pulse MIG welding Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings Experience fitting and welding large structural steel components Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Commitment to safety and qualityPreferred:
- Shipyard experience
- NAVSEA-related fabrication experience
- Stainless steel welding experience
- AWS Certifications

Work is performed in an industrial fabrication shop with both newer and existing open-air facilities. You'll be part of a growing team fabricating and welding large structural steel assemblies in a production-driven environment where safety, quality, and teamwork are highly valued.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hollywood, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
