About this role

Job summary

To provide a fully integrated nursing service in the Acute and Community sectors, working in partnership to provide a high quality sustainable service for Neonates and their carers within Cwm Taf University Health Board.

The Bank worker will be required to ensure the highest standard of specialist patient care, which reflects the quality of standards and mission of the Health Board, and contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures within the sphere of responsibility.

The bank worker will be required to carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care for the benefit of babies and their carers' in accordance with agreed protocols.

Welsh and English speakers are both equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 staff nurses to join our Bank team. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in the specialty of neonates as part of the nursing team and across both sites which includes Princess of Wales Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital.

Education/Qualifications / Training Essential

Registered Nurse/Child Health Nurse

Desirable

Relevant Diploma / Basic Degree

Experience Essential

Suitable for a newly qualified nurse/child branch nurse

Some post registration experience would be an advantage e.g. working with families

Skills Essential

Ability to enter into a learning environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written Team player
