We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Kitchen Manager / Line Cook to join our team at the New Bedford Harbor Hotel at 222 Union Street! This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering high-quality food and service.
The Kitchen Manager / Line Cook is responsible for assisting with the daily kitchen operations while actively working on the line. This position oversees food quality, kitchen organization, inventory and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, team player, and experienced cook who can maintain efficiency during busy service periods.
Pay: $19 -$24 per hour
Schedule: Weekdays and Weekends nights - MANDATORY
Job Type: Full- Time, swing shifts
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standardsLead and support kitchen staff during daily operationsEnsure food quality, presentation, and consistencyAssist with scheduling, training, and coaching kitchen team membersMaintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchenMonitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving productsEnsure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulationsMinimize waste and support cost-control effortsWork collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent guest experiencesStep into various kitchen roles as needed during service

Requirements
Previous kitchen management or supervisory experience preferredExperience working as a line cook in a high-volume environmentStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to multitask and work efficiently under pressureKnowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesFlexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsBenefits
