About this role
We’re working with a growing, privately funded specialist property lender looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to expand its broker network and drive new lending opportunities across the UK (with a focus on London & the South East).
Offering a range of bridging finance solutions, including residential and commercial lending, refurbishment, auction finance and developer exit loans, the business is looking for a commercially minded individual with strong broker relationships and a background in bridging or specialist property finance.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for developing new broker relationships, generating quality lending opportunities and managing cases through to completion. This is a hands-on, field-based role involving regular broker visits, networking and close collaboration with underwriting to deliver fast, commercially focused lending decisions.
Key responsibilities include
- Developing new broker relationships and growing existing introducer networks.
- Generating bridging finance enquiries across a range of property-backed lending products.
- Assessing opportunities, structuring deals and providing indicative terms.
- Working closely with underwriting to progress cases through to completion.
- Attending broker meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.
- Managing your pipeline, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
About You
You’ll have experience in a BDM or origination role within bridging finance, specialist lending or property finance. You’ll be confident building broker relationships, assessing opportunities and structuring deals, with a strong commercial mindset and a proactive approach to business development.
