An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious accountant to join a growing accountancy practice as an Account Manager.
This role would suit someone with a solid grounding in management accounting who is looking to develop their career, take on greater responsibility and build strong client relationships.
The Role
You will support a portfolio of clients, working closely with senior accountants and the wider team.
Responsibilities include
- Acting as a point of contact for a portfolio of clients
- Reviewing client bookkeeping and resolving issues
- Preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting period-end processes and meeting agreed deadlines
- Analysing financial performance and providing commentary and insights
- Developing your involvement in client advisory and commercial discussions
- Maintaining accurate client records and working collaboratively with the wider team
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in management accounting and be keen to progress their career within a client-focused environment.
You will likely have
- 1–3 years’ experience in management accounting or a similar role
- Studying towards or qualified in ACCA
- Good Excel skills
- A strong understanding of management accounts
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience working with clients or stakeholders is desirable
- Knowledge of Xero is desirable but not essential
- A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and progress
