Position Overview:

Belmont Lavan Ltd is seeking a Mainframe Specialist for a 7-month contract to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing mainframe systems to ensure seamless operations within our client’s environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Work as member of the project team with tasks related toAnalysing the current use of mainframe software in the bank Defining, assessing and designing the alternatives and the new solutions to replace the existingPlanning and executing migrations to the new target solutionRequirements

Skills

Main skills we are looking for:Knowledge & experience on working with IBM zOSKnowledge of Endevor configurationExperience on cross-platform communicationsKnowledge of mainframe and midrange scripting languagesKnowledge of mainframe Unix System ServiceAlso beneficial:Knowledge/experience on CA tools such as Easytrieve, Telon, JCL Check, CA Spool, and TPXKnowledge of mainframe SDLC, CICD and VSCodeUnderstanding of midrange tools and integration with mainframeMainframe infrastructure (transaction managers, databases, queue systems, CICS, IMS, ...)
