About the Role: We’re hiring a QA Document Review Specialist to validate AI-generated outputs across two core workstreams: procedure formatting (SOPs) and regulatory compliance. You’ll review original source documents side-by-side with AI outputs, using structured criteria to catch errors, omissions, and compliance gaps before anything reaches customers. This role is ideal if you’re methodical, comfortable working with detailed technical documentation, and can confidently apply oil & gas operational context to what you’re reviewing. You’ll also collaborate closely with product and engineering to improve recurring issues and raise the overall quality bar of the platform.
Responsibilities:
Verify AI-reformatted SOPs through side-by-side comparison with source procedures to ensure nothing is omitted, altered, paraphrased, reordered, or truncatedConfirm every step, warning, caution, note, reference, and supplemental section is preserved accurately in the outputValidate procedure structure and usability against HPOG Best Practice in Procedure Formatting, including layout, numbering, conditional logic formatting, and human factors considerationsReview readability and operational clarity from the perspective of a field operator or technicianLog defects with precise, actionable detail and clear references to both source and output locations so fixes are fast and unambiguousReview AI-generated regulatory compliance flags to confirm they are accurate, relevant, and mapped to the correct requirement or standardEvaluate AI-generated compliance suggestions to ensure they are technically sound, operationally appropriate, and aligned with the intent of the regulationCross-check new or revised corporate standards/policies against the client’s internal policy library to identify conflicts, gaps, or inconsistenciesPerform regression testing after platform updates to confirm formatting conformance and compliance quality remain strongTrack error patterns across documents, summarize systemic issues, and partner with product/engineering to prioritize improvements to models and workflowsRequirements
Must-Have:
Oil & gas technical documentation experience (reviewing, authoring, or maintaining SOPs/procedures, standards, or regulatory-facing documentation)Solid working knowledge of at least one relevant regulatory framework (for example AER, OGC, API Recommended Practices, OSHA PSM 29 CFR 1910.119, or equivalent)Strong attention to detail and a consistent, methodical approach to high-volume document comparison and reviewClear written communication skills (you can write defect reports and review commentary that both technical and non-technical stakeholders can act on)Comfort using document management systems and/or issue tracking tools (to log defects, patterns, and regression results)Nico-to-Have
Certification or formal training in HSE, process safety, quality management, or management systemsExperience with pipeline integrity, wellsite, or facilities documentation (operations or compliance)Background in regulatory affairs, compliance auditing, or management system governancePrior experience reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy, completeness, and safety/compliance riskExposure to environmental compliance documentation (for example approvals, emissions reporting, environmental management requirements)Benefits
