We are seeking a talented Head Pastry Chef to lead the Pastry team at The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel. This key position offers a unique opportunity to shape and elevate the pastry offering across the hotel.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating exceptional pastries and desserts, leading a high-performing team, and delivering outstanding guest experiences through creativity, quality and innovation.
Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Head Pastry Chef will oversee all pastry operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, presentation and efficiency across the department.

Main Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all pastry operations, including desserts, pastries and baked goodsCreate innovative seasonal menus and new dessert conceptsDevelop and standardise recipes to ensure consistency and qualityRecruit, train and manage the pastry teamPrepare team rotas and manage daily staffing levelsMaintain exceptional standards of presentation, taste and qualityManage stock levels, ordering and inventory controlMonitor food costs and minimise waste in line with budgetsEnsure pastry equipment is maintained and fully operationalMaintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safetyWork closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver seamless serviceStay up to date with pastry trends, techniques and industry developmentsRequirements
What You Bring:
Proven experience in a senior pastry role.Strong leadership and team development skillsCreativity and passion for modern pastry and dessertsExcellent knowledge of pastry techniques and presentationStrong organisational and time management skillsUnderstanding of food cost control and stock managementCommitment to quality, consistency and food safety standardsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
