About this role
We are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic for our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections on HGVs in line with manufacturer guidelines and RSA/DVSA standards.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Prepare vehicles for CVRT testing and carry out pre-test inspections.
- Complete preventative maintenance checks and ensure vehicles meet all legal and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards and inspection documentation.
- Keep the workshop clean, safe and organised.
- Complete all work efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
- Liaise with drivers, transport managers and external suppliers regarding vehicle repairs, servicing and parts.
- Requirements:2–3 years’ relevant experience working as an HGV Mechanic.
- Proven experience working with heavy goods vehicles, ideally within a haulage, transport or commercial vehicle environment.A recognised mechanic qualification or trade certificate is advantageous but not essential.
