About this role
Job Title: ArchitectJob DescriptionThis role offers the opportunity to work in a fully integrated design-build environment, taking projects from initial zoning and code review through construction documents and permitting. The architect will collaborate closely with owners, clients, and construction teams, prepare preliminary design sketches for budgeting, and guide projects through municipal approvals and construction phases. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented architect who enjoys both design and hands-on coordination with field operations.

- Attend meetings with owners and clients to understand project goals, present design concepts, and provide professional guidance throughout the pre-design and design phases.
- Develop preliminary architectural sketches and design concepts used for budget estimates during the pre-design stage.
- Document modifications and revisions from preliminary sketches and compare updated designs against original estimates to support accurate budgeting and scope alignment.
- Establish the schedule of drawings and associated hours required for preliminary sketches and design deliverables, ensuring timelines are realistic and achievable.
- Secure consultant proposals and quotes for civil engineering, geotechnical borings, and landscape design, and coordinate their scope with the overall project.
- Represent the company professionally at municipal and public meetings, clearly presenting project designs and responding to questions about zoning, codes, and planning requirements.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and superintendents during the construction phase to ensure design intent is maintained and construction challenges are resolved effectively.
- Prepare, submit, and secure building permits, managing the submittal process and responding to plan review comments as needed.
- Review and approve all architectural shop drawings, ensuring compliance with design documents, codes, and project specifications.

- Bachelors degree in architecture or a closely related field.
