Senior Utrecht Als Senior Actuaris bij Arcturus vervul je zelfstandig de eerstelijns of tweedelijns actuariële functie bij verzekeraars en bespreek je je bevindingen rechtstreeks met bestuurders. Je leidt projecten rond Solvency II, ORSA, technische voorzieningen, tarifering en risicomodellering, bouwt klantrelaties op en begeleidt collega's van junior tot partner. Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end actuarial deliverables for pricing , reserving , and profitability analysis.
- Develop, validate, and document actuarial models (assumptions, methodologies, and sensitivity testing).
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support capital and solvency assessments, including scenario and stress testing.
- Partner with underwriting, finance, risk, and data teams to translate business needs into actuarial insights.
- Prepare clear reports and presentations for senior stakeholders and regulators.
- Ensure governance, auditability, and compliance with applicable actuarial standards.
Required skills and qualifications
- Actuarial expertise in general insurance or life insurance (pricing and/or reserving).
- Modeling and analytics skills, including statistical methods and experience with actuarial tools.
- Data proficiency with large datasets; ability to automate and improve processes.
- Communication skills to explain complex results to non-technical audiences.
- Stakeholder management and ability to lead projects independently.
- Professional qualification or progress toward recognized actuarial certification.
