As an order picker, your work hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You'll start with a salary of € 14.00 gross per hour. You'll work 37.5 hours per week. The gross monthly salary is €2,275. What are you going to do? As an order picker, you'll be working in the shipping department. The shipping department is the final stop for all books. All books are sent to the appropriate libraries in the Netherlands. You'll be responsible for making sure that happens. Do you have an eye for detail and can you spot logical connections? - You go over the daily schedule with your coworkers and supervisor.
- Place the books on the sorting conveyor.
- An automated machine sorts the books on a conveyor belt.
- Next, you'll sort the books into boxes using a paternoster machine (order picking).
- Is the box complete? If so, get it ready for shipment.
- You'll maintain an overview and ensure that the targets are met together with the team.
- After a final check, pack the boxes and make sure they have the correct shipping label.
