Warehouse Employee - Returns & Sorting (Stein) Roll up your sleeves and keep moving: at the GLS depot in Stein, every minute counts. As a warehouse employee in our returns department, you are the problem solver for shipments that hit a roadblock. Whether it's an unreadable label, a refused delivery, or a customer return, you step in, fix the issue, and ensure every parcel is sorted and ready for the next delivery run.
What you will be doing
- Processing returns & fixing data: Inspect incoming return streams, correct faulty addresses in the system, and book packages in accurately.
- Quality checks: Spot and record damaged or refused goods immediately to ensure top-quality handling.
- Warehouse organization: Use hand scanners to relabel, locate, and store items neatly across lockers and racks, keeping the floor organized.
- Driver check-in: Assist couriers at the returns desk after their routes, checking them in smoothly so they can get back on the road without delay.
Working hours (Monday to Friday - weekends always off) - Morning shift: 04:30 AM - 01:30 PM (early finish means your entire afternoon is free) - Evening shift: 01:30 PM - 10:30 PM
