Core responsibilities - Plan, perform, and document audit procedures in line with applicable auditing standards and organizational policies.
- Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements, general ledger entries, and supporting schedules.
- Assess internal controls, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
- Coordinate audit timelines, manage requests for information, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and present findings to management.
- Support month-end/year-end close activities and ensure audit-ready documentation.
Required skills and qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and audit methodology (e.g., GAAP/IFRS and relevant auditing standards).
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and control testing.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheets; ability to work with ERP and audit tools.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Preferred: CPA/ACCA or equivalent; prior public accounting or internal audit experience.
