About us About Eetcafé De Branderij
- Eetcafé De Branderij in Groningen is named after the coffee roastery founded in 1855 by Hermanius Smith.
Smith's coffee became a household name in Groningen and Amsterdam. Years later, "Smith's Goudboon Koffie en Thee" became a purveyor to the Dutch and British royal families. The menu at De Branderij features a varied selection of international dishes. These are inspired by all the delicacies Mr. Smith encountered on his many trading voyages. By using fresh, natural ingredients, we achieve the very best quality and taste. All this at a pleasant price. In the evening, De Branderij is a nice location for a social drink. With a great selection of craft beers and delicious wines, there is something for everyone. De Branderij can also be hired for parties and events. We offer the option for private dining for groups of up to 50 people in our basement. We also have options for groups of up to 120 people.
