You will work on flat and low-pitched roofs at residential buildings, apartment complexes, shopping centres, commercial properties and public buildings. Together with a regular colleague, you will travel to different projects in a modern, fully equipped work van. One week you may be renovating a roof on an apartment building, while the next week you could be working on a commercial property or repairing a roof after a leak. No two projects are exactly the same.
What will you do as a Flat Roof Roofer?
- As an experienced roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, renovating and maintaining flat and low-pitched roofs.
Your main responsibilities include
- Inspecting roofs and assessing existing roofing materials.
- Measuring and preparing roof surfaces before installation.
- Removing old or damaged roof coverings.
- Installing and applying bituminous roofing membranes.
- Using appropriate torch-on roofing techniques where required.
- Installing thermal roof insulation materials.
- Carrying out complete flat roof renovation projects.
