As a cylinder fitter you assemble and test large hydraulic cylinders together with your team. You work from technical drawings, bills of materials and hydraulic schematics, largely on your own in the production hall. The work alternates between assembly, testing and solving technical problems.
- Assembling hydraulic and mechanical parts to work instructions and quality requirements
- Reading and assessing drawings, bills of materials and hydraulic schematics
- Preparing the test facilities and assisting with product testing (FAT)
- Checking and completing checklists and dimensional reports
- Solving technical problems and keeping track of progress
- Keeping an eye on material availability, in consultation with other departments
- Contributing ideas for improvements to products and processes
- Working with various disciplines in the production process What's on offer?
