Job DescriptionThomond Lodge Nursing Home is a purpose-built, 48-bed residential care facility providing respite, convalescent, and long-term care services. The facility offers comfortable, fully furnished single-occupancy rooms with ensuite facilities, along with spacious communal areas designed to promote residents' comfort and well-being.We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
- Key Responsibilities- Assist nursing staff in providing quality care and support to residents.- Support residents with daily personal care activities while promoting dignity, privacy, and independence.- Assist residents with meals, refreshments, and nutritional requirements.- Support residents with mobility and the appropriate use of mobility aids.- Assist with resident transfers and accompany residents when required.- Follow established infection prevention and control procedures.- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.- Perform additional duties as assigned by the clinical team or management.
- Qualifications and Requirements- Full QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or a recognised Nursing Degree/Diploma.- Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in a healthcare or residential care setting.- Good communication and interpersonal skills.- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.- Reliability, flexibility, and a commitment to delivering quality care.
