SMP Hire Ltd T/A KR Hire requires 3 experienced Heavy Plant / Excavator Mechanics for full-time work at Glen Road, Monaghan, Co. Monaghan,H18 Y206.
- The successful candidates will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing large excavators and other heavy construction/plant machinery.
- Candidates should have strong hands-on mechanical experience with Komatsu or similar heavy equipment brands.
- Main Duties:- Service, maintain and repair large excavators and heavy plant equipment.- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults.- Carry out repairs to engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, undercarriages and other components.- Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing.- Identify defective or worn components and complete necessary repairs or replacements.- Carry out fault finding and troubleshooting on plant machinery.- Ensure equipment is maintained to a safe and reliable working standard.- Complete work in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
- Candidate Requirements- Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Mechanic, Excavator Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Plant Fitter.- Strong experience working specifically with large excavators and construction equipment.- Experience with Komatsu is highly desirable; experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi, Volvo, JCB or similar equipment is also relevant.- Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and mechanical systems.- Able to independently diagnose faults rather than only carrying out routine servicing.- Relevant mechanical/heavy equipment qualification is preferred.
Other Details: Minimum annual remuneration: €36,605Standard working week 39 hours.
