Ardcolt Limited t/a SuperValu Dún Laoghaire is currently seeking a full-time Ambient Operations Manager to join our team in Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial performance of the store’s ambient grocery operations, reporting to the Store Owner and Store Manager. Key responsibilities include setting, monitoring and achieving sales, gross margin, net margin, waste and other KPI targets; managing stock levels, ordering, goods receiving, stock rotation and stock audits; and ensuring the correct prices are held for suppliers and managing credit control with suppliers.
They will also be responsible for merchandising and planogram compliance, using Gold reports and scanning data to drive operational efficiencies, leading and developing the team, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with Food Safety (HACCP), Health & Safety, sale of alcohol and employment legislation, including closing procedures across all departments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in a supervisory or management role in grocery retail, experience in stock control, margin management and cash/till balancing, good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, and strong leadership, communication and delegation skills. Experience with the CBE system and fresh food is desirable. This permanent position offers an annual salary of €36,700 for a 39-hour work week.
